Information you choose to provide
You may type a city, state, or ZIP code as your starting point. You may also allow the app to use your device’s current location. Location permission is optional and can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
How the app uses information
Your starting point is used on your device with Apple’s mapping services to find places and estimate driving routes. To retrieve forecasts, Find My Weather sends destination coordinates, the selected travel date, and requested forecast fields to the Find My Weather weather service. Your selected starting point is not included in those weather requests.
Service providers
- Apple MapKit provides place search, geocoding, maps, and driving routes.
- Open-Meteo provides weather forecasts, including forecasts based on NOAA models.
- Vercel hosts the Find My Weather weather service and these webpages.
These providers may process ordinary network and device information, such as an IP address, request time, and browser or app user-agent, to deliver and secure their services. Their own privacy policies govern that processing.
External links
A destination may include a link that opens Airbnb or another external service. Once you leave Find My Weather, that service’s privacy policy and terms apply. Find My Weather does not receive your Airbnb searches, bookings, or account information.
Retention and sharing
Find My Weather does not operate user accounts or a database of trip searches. Forecast responses may be temporarily cached by the weather service to improve speed and reliability. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to deliver the features described above, or when required by law.
Children’s privacy
Find My Weather is a general-audience travel utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published. Questions about privacy can be sent to findmyweatherapp@gmail.com.
